Terms of Service
Effective date: August 24, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of wowLauncher — the mobile app and the desktop agent (together the “Service”). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Service is
wowLauncher lets you launch programs that you have pre-registered on your own PC, from your phone, over your own local network (LAN). By design, the mobile app can only request a launch by app id — it can never send a path, argument, or arbitrary command to the PC.
2. License
The Service is provided free of charge for personal and business use. Subject to these Terms, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Service on devices you own or control. Where the Service is distributed through the App Store or Google Play, the respective store's terms also apply.
3. Your responsibilities
- Use the Service only with PCs, phones, and networks that you own or are authorized to use.
- You alone choose which programs to register on your PC, and you are responsible for what those programs do when launched.
- Keep your paired devices under your control. Remove or block a device in the desktop agent if it should no longer have access.
- Do not use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others, and do not attempt to circumvent its security design (e.g., modifying it to accept arbitrary commands from the network).
4. Local operation; no service availability guarantee
The Service operates on your own devices and network. We do not operate servers required for its core functionality, and we make no guarantee of availability, compatibility with your environment, or uninterrupted operation. Features may change, be added, or be removed in future versions.
5. Disclaimer of warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including damages arising from programs you chose to register and launch, loss of data, or interruption of business — resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability arising from willful misconduct or gross negligence.
7. Privacy
Your privacy matters. The Service stores its data on your own devices and does not transmit personal data to the developer, except optional crash reports. See the Privacy Policy for details.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it. The license terminates automatically if you materially breach these Terms.
9. Changes to the Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
